  13. The infinite scroller issue seems to be coming to a head now.  Perhaps it's the
  14. New Year; perhaps it's the new Decade (which may or may not begin in a few
  15. weeks).  Anyway, I, too, have had to deal with this issue. My solution is to
  16. modify the scrollers-within-scrollers model that was in Frameworks(?) utilities
  17. disk(?) or something a while ago.  So, instead of an infinite scroller, you
  18. have an outer scroller that merely scrolls through a few years (or centuries).
  19. The next scroller scrolls through months.  Etc. etc.  I'm just in the middle of
  20. doing this now for an office system, and haven't come up with a visualization
  21. that I like, but the functionality seems to be appropriate - and the users like
  22. it.
